thanjavur,temples,and uh....college

one sunny afternoon i was peacefullly hugging my guitar and sleeping aftera brief and noise polluting jam session.....when i hear my door bell ringing...courier man..."it better not be the credit card shmucks" i mumbled but then"woah! i made it to SASTRA .....last day of counselling!"....so the courier wasnt from the bank after all....on the 25th i found myself in Thanjavur..or rather tanjore as the brits called it....
so me mom and dad got ready and headed straight for the thanjavur temple(yes i grumbled all the way there).....quick intro now....the temple called the brihadeeshwara temple and is one of the world heritage sights,which means that its a monument recognised by the united nations....it has a tower which doesnt have a shadow...this means that it was built in such a way that at no point of time the temple tower will have a shadow......considered an architectural marvel....thrice the size of school...and all through out tthe mid day sun there was this kid called shiva...about eight years old....selling incense sticks/agarbathis to the visitors...he targeted my mom and my mom gladly obliged...while i was away taking photographs...he came to me...but i shut him up by taking snaps of him ...there were probably two reasons for me to actually WANt to go the temple...
1)i HAD to get into SASTRA(gods help required,desperately..
2)i could check out the local chicks..

while i found out about my petitions to god later ....my second request was almost immediately answered.....these thanjavur babes were HOT! and what a place to find them!AND if you dont believe me,i've got pictures....long live camera phones...
then...suddenly dad asked mom for change...and when mom looked for her purse.....AAAAAH it was missing...so she just lost 1500 bucks AND our train tickets in a temple the size of a football stadium....wow.....NEXT we headed straight for SASTRA and they called out students by merit(yes by merit)and there were only 17 seats left for mechanical engineering......the names were called ...and naems were called and the eighteenth name was mine! luckily one female infront of me opted for bio something....and i got the last seat in mech! phew!that was close.....now the fun part.....after i was admitted....they told us they were outtta hostel space....sop i have to stay by myself in thanjavur...until they built the international hostel in october....and that means unlimited freedom .!!!!!!!
so we found a hotel which was actaully good and apparently the guy next door was the prof. of mechanical in SASTRA...anyways...this was one heck of a trip...

YES! i stuck to my online promise.......and have successfully been working out in a gym for the past .....er......one month......the thing is.....im the only guy here who is like 17.....the others are huge dudes....with biceps the size of my head....of course these are the local guys.....and our usual topics of discussions include

-arnold schwarzenneger(correct spelling?)
-foot ball

and of course......
more arnold and more football......

and going to the gym has become truck loads easier thanks to the new subway inaugurated a month back by the DMK dudes...on mr.K's birthday,,...
